Ethan Turns 3 Months

Just thought I'd post a recent picture of Ethan - he's growing so fast and I feel like time is just flying right past me. I look back on pictures of Kellin during his first year of life and I can't believe how many pictures we took! I need to get my camera out more with Ethan or he's going to have some serious inferiority issues when he grows up! Anyways, I love, love, love this picture! It captures him smiling so perfectly like he always does. I have several nicknames for him (fatty, chunky monkey) and most recently I call him mr. smiley because he is always giggling. Enjoy!

Harley Boys

Kade rented a Harley to take a ride with a friend through Zion. He gave Kellin a ride around the neighborhood and Kellin loved it! Kade hopes that someday he and his boys will be riding buddies!

"Franklinstein"

Here are some pics of Kellin on Halloween. After going through many different ideas for a costume, Kellin finally settled on "Franklinstein". At first I kept thinking he was just pronouncing it wrong but then we went to the library and he picked out a Halloween book about Franklin (the turtle) and in it Franklin was "Franklinstein" for Halloween. He must have seen the book at preschool or something, I still don't know. Enjoy!

Two months & growing!

Ethan just turned two months old and he is off the charts for both height and weight!! He weighed 16.5 pounds and measured 25 inches long! He is already growing out of his 3-6 month clothes and is in size 2 diapers! He is a happy, content little baby that has just started giving us the most adorable smiles ever. Kade is really good at getting him to smile and he greets Kade with a huge smile every day. I appreciate the baby stage so much more this time around and really try to make the most of every minute I have with him before he's crawling all over the place getting into everything. We love him to pieces!

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite family traditions is to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins to carve. Here in St. George we go to the Staheli Family farm which has lots of fun things for kids to do as well as a pretty cool pumpkin patch. We get to ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor out to the pumpkin patch and Kellin loves to run around looking for the perfect pumpkin. This year he also helped pick out the perfect pumpkin for Ethan. At the farm they have tons of cows and other animals that we get to pet and a slide that drops off into a big area of dried corn. They also have big swings and a cow train for the kids. When Kellin gets a little older, he really wants to do the haunted house and corn maze. I am so amazed at how fast Kellin has grown up, we have been doing this as a family ever since the first Halloween when he was born. We will post our carved pumpkins once they are done.

Ethan turns one month old!

Our little Ethan is already one month old! I can't believe how long each week seemed leading up to his birth and now how fast each week seems to fly by. He is growing every day - in fact, at his two week appointment he had already grown 2 inches and gained 2 1/2 pounds! Which makes sense considering how often he likes to eat - I seriously feel like I am feeding him around the clock. As our peditrician said, "nursing moms are like Denny's, open 24 hours a day for feeding"! So far he has been a very happy, easy baby. As long as he's fed, changed and napped, he's pretty content. Kellin loves to hold him and always wants to carry him around the house, which gives me mini panic attacks every time since 90% of our house is tile. I follow him around holding on to whatever part of Ethan I can as Kellin squeezes him around his stomach and carries him from room to room! Although a second child brings a whole new dimension of exhaustion, both Kade and I couldn't be happier with our two beautiful sons!
